Voting Now Open: Best Anime Opening of Spring 2007

June 24, 2007

So after putting it off for awhile, I wanted to try a bigger project. Since I still am a music buff, even with anime I decided to try something different. Spring 2007 will go out with a bang hopefully this year and it’s up to the viewers to decide it. How? Very simple. I decided to take advantage of the large majority of you people who can access YouTube. And I know a lot of you can ONLY watch anime through YouTube. Aren’t I such a nice guy?

This seriously loooked like the nicest way for me to handle this. So go NOW and vote. This keeps me from having to go to some bigass anime board to collect opinions. Which is a nuisance and everyone could figure so. Consider this my way of determining what will win, YouTube style. I do pride myself in my laziness.

Overall Review: Hitohira

June 15, 2007

As the season comes to a close, so must some of the series it brought for us to view. Unfortunately after this Wednesday, the series had to come to it’s eventful close. But even though I never got any actual reviews of it, I did follow the series piece by piece. So without further ado, let’s get Likkun’s opinion on this Spring 2007 sleeper hit.

Isn’t Mugi adorable with her hair down?

The Hidden Genius of Seto no Hanayome

June 5, 2007

I knew somewhere hidden under all that pervert, there lied some true genius within Seiji Kishi. From random gags, to repeated gags, to fanservice he does a good job when given the right material. After seeing the slapstick Terminator parody of Episode 10, I decided that this series was truly safe in his hands. It wasn’t luck, but actual talent that he was able to pull it off so well.

So way to step up to the plate after fucking up GA-rune, jackass.

Oh yeah, coming soon after the end of July, even though I’ll be absent at the convention. I’ll work on them once I get back and after all the convention reports are done. But…

1) Top 5 Anime Openings of Spring (Because I don’t want to wait for the LLAMAs for eveything)
2) Golden Moments of Seto no Hanayome (And there are a lot of them)

Likkun is Bored: Spring 2007 and Pink Haired Psychos

May 27, 2007

Man it feels like forever since I’ve written a real article. Most likely because it has been serious ages since that time. Thank you Ouendan 2 and Seto no Hanayome for keeping me alive during finals. I still regret not ordering the two Seto no Hanayome Live Singles, if I had known earlier I seriously would have pre-ordered them before. Oh well.Getting on topic though, this season has revealed a strange fact to me. Not only have I been attracted to several pink haired girls this season that all seem to be hiding more than they should be. Whether it be serious split personality issues or just being damn scary, it looks like Spring has more than I can keep track of.

The prospect scares even me. Click for more

Spring 2007 Survival: Group 2 – Week 3

April 20, 2007

GAII:MKnK pre-orders start tommorow. I think I need to skip school to celebrate this awesome of awesome events. But now I need money…

What? I’m getting slower you say? Well, you’re right because I always like to put off Group 2. The reason for that may or may not be obvious. Even Group 3 gets down faster and that has a ton of series in it. But that’s of little importance right now. If you like watching me NOT talk about Group 2 again, then you’ve come to the right place.

In the realm of EXCITING news, I plan (KEYWORD: PLAN) on writing an actual article tommorow. What is it you ask? For those of you who remember the “15 Girls Likkun will never meet, ever” post from awhile back, then it’s similar to that. Just with a different kind of approach in selecting characters.

Here Comes the Pain

Spring 2007 Survival: Group 1 – Week 3

April 17, 2007

Well, it’s back at the beginning again and probably a critical junction in that sense. This week, I plan on knocking out about everything that I either hate or think is just going to take up space. So I don’t know when I weekly recap will happen, but I should probably do a Vs. post sometime this week so you’ll know what I’m comparing. I’ll get to that when I get to it though. Just expect the groups to be considerably smaller come Week 4.

More humorously, I was discussing each new season of anime with my friend. Obviously, the world of anime is usually boring if you follow it closely (yes, it is). I find myself more along the lines of sleeping during th week than actually watching the show. Frankly, if I were to draw a comparsion, it’d be like if I changed this site to watching every American Sitcom with whatever season the U.S. seperates them into. Half of them would suck so bad it wouldn’t be funny but like with anime, there may be something I enjoy. If you don’t get that comparsion, I don’t care but it’s the same. Actually, I’m going to change the site. Now you’ll be seeing me do Spring 2007 Survival with awesome gems like George Lopez, Two and a Half Men, and other crap like that. The world is just so exciting isn’t it?

Spring 2007 Survival: Group 3 – Week 2

April 15, 2007

Eh, always finding myself busy with this. Well, I have a feeling that I’ll be doing Group 3 on Saturdays unless I’m lucky. I really do need to find some co-writers for the blog to help get some articles out. I was planning to do some individual (as in non Spring 2007 anime related) but I got too busy to mess with it. I don’t know, I’ll take these things as they come. I should probably be interested in more active readers than writers at the moment.
