About Ask Likkun…
Ask Likkun is a small anime blog that prides itself in keeping up with constantly moving anime world. The site itself has existed on MANY different clients and the constant moving often screws with the fanbase. Hopefully this move will stay permanent and allow more readers to come in.

As of now, Ask Likkun has one writer…Likkun. But I’m currently working on trying to hire more writers to help me get around to more anime. I’d LOVE to be able to download everything and review it but I am unfortunately human.

Commenting is a big part of your job at Ask Likkun. These little snippits from you tell me what I’m doing wrong or what I’m doing right. Any input you have about what I should be reviewing in these section or what I seem to be missing is all taken into account. And I enjoy reading about what you have to say and whether you’re enjoying certain articles or not. I’ll try to reply to what I can, so feel free to comment on whatever pleases or displeases you.

Doing it Q and A style from the most common questions I get.

Q1) Who are you?
A) I’m Likkun, some cynical 17 year old trying to make it through high school. After that, I expect to go to college, go flat broke from ordering too many things, and then becoming a cannibal.

Q2) Where did your weird name/handle come from?
A) Likkun comes from a long line of different nicknames. My main online career started as ShadowLink when I was still on AOL. After that, people started calling me Link and that became my name. My friends began adding things like “kun”, “mun”, “sama” onto the end because they thought they were cool or something. After that, people started getting lazy and “kun” just merged with Link for some reason. SO it became Likkun and it’s stuck ever since. So NO my name short would not be Lik, because that’s an import site. Or used to be.

Q3) Why an anime blog of all things?
A) Ahh, that comes from a funny story. If you were to go early into my anime career, I would have had no idea what an anime blog was. This changed as I got introduced to anime blog by reading my inspiration, Lovely Kitsune’s anime blog (back when it was still up). After reading his blog through the years, I eventually started to work on my own. So a lot of his style of reviewing can probably be seen in mine.

Q4) Where’s the title of this blog from?
A) Another reference towards Lovely Kitsune’s blog. When he had his BBS, my favorite thread on there was the “Ask LK” thread. When I was coming up with the name, it seemed nice to pay some homage to where my motivation came from.

Q5) Why do you watch so much anime?
A) Refer back to Question 3. No, not really. It’s a hobby and you tend to participate in your favorite hobbies very often. This would involve watching a lot of anime.

Q6) How do you watch your anime?
A) I watch it RAW and untouched. If it’s something really good, then I tend to check out nicovideo first. When I’m not there, I usually download RAWs from a variety of places and burn them off as they pile up.

Q7) How come you watch so many things and review so little?
A) I’m in school and have work to do. I also do my reviews in a style to make it more appealing to you. This involves taking lots of screencaps to go along with my text so you don’t get bored. This is time consuming for someone like me as is coming up with my sense of wit.
